These unbaked cookies are quite symbolic - I've overshot my blogiversary by a few days by the scrouge known as real life. It manages to get in the way of even your best laid plans.
I haven't quite finished with the tinkering to the site, that will come in a day or two, work load permitting.
I know there are all these silent people that visit this site, perhaps for this belated blogiversary you might like to just pop in and say hi - after all I've been doing most of the talking for the last 4 years I'd be most interested to hear what you have to say.
Thanks again for your continued visits - I do appreciate the many lovely emails and comments that you are kind enough to send me and I hope to continue on in the years to come.
Woo Hoo, Congratulations, What's for Dinner?
ReplyDeleteStylin'! Can't wait to see your new look. Congrats on turning the Big 04. : )
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! Your blog is a treasure with gorgeous photos and flavorful recipes. Wishing you the very best in the coming years.
ReplyDeletePopping in to de-lurk and say hi! While I don't really comment (I don't cook enough to have anything more cogent than "wow, looks delicious" to say, I adore your photography. I read mostly for the amazing photography of incredible looking food. I'm usually WAY too lazy to actually *use* any of the recipes (also, half a world away so not usually in the same season) but I adore them from afar and covet them quietly... Maybe someday I'll find someone willing to actually make them! ;)
ReplyDeleteCongrats! Happy Anniversary! I always enjoy all your posts. Keep 'em coming.
ReplyDeletePaz (who likes the new look)
Happy blogiversary, Haalo! I love your blog (and your fantastic WHB hosting skills), and I'm always excited to see your next post and learn about fun new ingredients.
ReplyDelete4 years is a long time to be thinking up new things all the time. Well done, you have created quite a site here!!!
ReplyDeleteA silent reader speaks! Never post but always read your blog. Just love it! Thanks for being here.
ReplyDeleteKristin from Syracuse, NY
An other lurker here, saying congratulations on four years & hoping for many more!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Haalo!
ReplyDeleteChange your look, can't wait to see it, but keep yourself as you are and continue to delight with your words, your pics and your food!
Happy four year blog birthday! I remember when your blog was brand new, can't believe the time has gone by so quickly. Love the new look too.
ReplyDeletecongratulations on so many wonderful posts - I continue enjoying your gorgeous photos and elegant recipes - look forward to many more
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on four years! I am yet another lurker of this site for at least a year or more.. (of those four) I hope this makes up for all the times I could have said "That looks delicious!" or "Nice Photos!"
ReplyDeleteI keep coming back here because of the interesting ways in which you pair ingredients beyond the realm of classic cooking, and I must say I've been inspired by your innovation in my own cooking!
Happy bloggiversary! Here's hoping for another (at least) four years of great food & great posts. PS: Like the new site design.
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary from one of the silent ones! Great blog and I have been enjoying it for a couple of years now. Great ideas and excellent presentation.
ReplyDeleteHappy 4 years!
ReplyDeleteThank you all and thank you for delurking - it's lovely to meet you!
ReplyDeletehaalo!
ReplyDeletecongratulations!
I do like this new look, very nice indeed!have a nice week end
baciussss
Congrats! Grin....love your "after all, I've been doing most of the talking" bit of the post. I too feel that way...when I see the number of people coming by without at least saying hellooooooooo! Grin.
ReplyDeleteHey Halo I've been following for many years, tho mostly silently... I must say I did love your signature photo of that beautiful Beurre Bosc so shall miss that. Also, the new format only shows 1 post at a time - I preferred seeing many at a time to having to click 'Older Posts' to move back. IMHO, it is easier to pull the page down and see what catches the eye than having to click for another entry - tho I guess that means one has to stop and read each page! Whatever you decide after tweaks, I will still be here!!

Thanks Brii and Trish!
ReplyDeleteThanks Deb - the one post was a leftover from the switch, it is back to normal. The pear still exists as the spacer between posts it's never too far away.
Popping by to say hi :)
ReplyDeleteKeep up the great work!
Thanks Emiglia!
